Friday Fun - Brand Awareness and Dead Animals
So, I don’t know if you know who Darren Brown is. He has a show on SciFi Channel called Mind Control. I enjoy the show because it gives you a bit of insight into the human brain and how it works. It is a tad on the geeky side, but he also had a show in the UK. This is a clip of the show that you SHOULD find incredibly interesting.
How effective was his branding? They didnt spend a ton of money (t-shirts for the kids) but it was the way that they did it that created the strong sense of awareness that when the “Marketing Experts” sat down to come up with “Original Ideas” all they could do was attach their own experiences. Lots of fun!

The great thing about this is that it shows how perceptive we are without knowing it and how imagery in our peripheral awareness influences our actions.
If you check, nothing Darren did was too wild. He used branded T-Shirts, posted signs reinforcing the slogan, product placement and brand association. And he was able to prove, without doubt, that it worked. Very Neat-o
